The year’s thesis: the plumbing became the story. 2021’s headlines were this archive’s beat wearing the front page: a boat in a canal, a pipeline’s billing system, BGP withdrawal and badge readers, clearing-house collateral, payment-processor content policy, a logging library, RPC concentration under “decentralized” branding, and a Texas grid islanded from its neighbors.
